As a

CEI Project Manager

at LJA

Transportation , you will be responsible for all inspection activities for the Construction Engineering & Inspection Group on Transportation projects. The person works directly with the Construction Manager(s) to adequately staff projects. A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE: Lead and mentor the Project Management Team to achieve operational and performance goals. Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of assigned projects. Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting. Allocate resources effectively in coordination with the Operations Manager or Engineering Director. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address on-site needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure full compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications. Direct and support inspection crews in monitoring contractor workmanship and materials. Verify material testing results, pay items, and related documentation. Identify and resolve project conflicts or risks promptly, escalating major issues as needed. Review and evaluate change order requests for accuracy and necessity. Support business development by pre-selling future project opportunities. REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering is required Licensed as a Professional Engineer REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years overall experience on Transportation projects 4+ years supervising inspection staff for highway construction Ability to perform work on active job sites in a safe, proficient manner required Ability to represent LJA and its clients in a professional manner at all times Must have a clean driving record; a DMV check will be conducted LEVEL UP WITH LJA At LJA, we’re 100% employee-owned.
