Job Description:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, the selected candidate will join the enterprise operations team to support and enhance BMC Control-M infrastructure. This role demands deep technical expertise in workflow automation, Linux and Windows administration, and enterprise-level system integration to ensure the reliability and scalability of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide infrastructure support for BMC Control-M across enterprise environments • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows systems • Integrate Control-M with various enterprise platforms and tools • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting business operations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance • Document procedures, configurations, and best practices • Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing • Present technical information and conduct product demonstrations • Escalate issues with appropriate urgency based on customer impact • Work independently and in team settings within fast-paced environments
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: • Minimum of 5-7 years of directly related experience in infrastructure engineering • Strong experience with BMC Control-M • Proficiency in JES/SDSF, ISPF, JCL, CA-ESP, CA11 • SA-level knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, and Windows environments • Experience with NAS, Formula, and file transfers (NDM, FTP, SFTP, PGP/FTP, NFS) • Problem-solving and process improvement capabilities • Ability to present technical information clearly • SQL knowledge and understanding of database infrastructure • Familiarity with network communication, SSL, LDAP • Exposure to Hadoop (Big Data), FTP, and virtual machines • Experience with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL databases • Understanding of backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery • Ability to read and debug logs • Unix Shell Scripting and PERL knowledge • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical presentations and customer interactions
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
