Manage municipal infrastructure projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction and close-out. Prefer experience in managing/designing/constructing roadway and bridge infrastructure. Independently manage all aspects of a project and develop and control project scope, budgets and schedules. Review and coordinate the preparation of construction documents; effectively facilitate project team and client meetings. Negotiate and prepare change orders; monitor and coordinate construction activities with various project stakeholders. Adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges; set and manage project expectations. Be knowledgeable in CEQA/NEPA. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years (PM I) or 10 years (PM II) of project management and concurrent field construction experience. Licensed professional or Certified Construction Manager (CCM). Educational background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Effective oral and written communication skills; experience in project planning and development. Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project and to develop and maintain project budgets, schedules and scope. Experience reviewing and coordinating construction documents. Voluntary knowledge of Public Contracting Code and related practices is desirable. Preferred/Desirable Experience
