The trainer is responsible for mastering the Epic application and departmental specific workflows as it relates to Patient Access and both Professional and Hospital billing and serves as a subject matter expert on the end-to-end workflow and data flow through the entire Epic Revenue Cycle. This individual is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the patient access software and serves as a bridge between the hospital end users and the Epic build/implementation teams. The trainer is responsible for assisting with planning and coordinating Epic training for all staff and developing the policies and procedures to govern training and grant access. The trainer develops, builds and maintains the training environment, curriculum and test data. This individual reviews, analyzes and builds the system in collaboration with Epic, department representatives, subject matter experts and end users. This individual assists with testing for upgrades and releases of new functionality. Department Specific Job Details:
This is a hybrid role located in Dayton, OH. Minimum 25% onsite required. Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate degree from an accredited program is preferred. Experience:
1- 2 years of patient access experience including registration, scheduling, prior authorization and patient estimates is required. 1-2 years of billing experience in hospital and/or professional billing, including claims filing and reconciliation, payment posting, CPT and coding experience as well as direct patient service experience is required. 3+ years of patient access and billing experience is preferred. Certification:
Epic certification in Resolute HB or PB is preferred. Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Strong interpersonal skills are required. System implementation experience is preferred. Experience providing adult education and training is preferred. Registration, scheduling or billing knowledge is preferred.
