Venteon Finance is currently seeking an
Regional Controller
for a fast‑growing, private equity‑backed mechanical services company based in the Indianapolis, IN area. This position will oversee all accounting and finance operations for the region and play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic growth.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive financial leadership experience in a multi‑location, growth‑oriented services or contracting environment.
Strong understanding of project accounting, cost accounting, and percentage‑of‑completion methods.
Proven ability to analyze operational performance, manage budgets, and provide actionable business insights.
Demonstrated experience supporting M&A transactions and financial integrations.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and ERP systems.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with a “hands‑on,” roll‑up‑your‑sleeves approach.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting and finance operations for multiple business units within the Indiana region, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and cost accounting.
Lead the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Partner closely with the Regional Vice President and CFO to drive regional performance, profitability, and process improvement.
Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and financial models to improve decision‑making and business accountability.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning; provide variance analysis and insights to support strategic and operational goals.
Lead cost accounting and margin analysis processes, including quote rate development, WIP management, and percentage‑of‑completion reporting.
Support M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and opening balance sheet preparation.
Manage treasury and risk management functions at the regional level.
Build and mentor a strong accounting and finance team focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and scalability.
