Job Summary: The Distribution Center Associate performs a variety of tasks related to packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory, and material handling. This role ensures high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective service to meet current and future business needs. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Principal Responsibilities:
Accurately fulfill customer orders from stored inventory, ensuring all inspection and testing requirements are met. Ship orders within required timeframes and complete all necessary documentation. Communicate any issues or delays to the lead or supervisor. Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming products and materials, verifying accuracy against purchase orders. Return defective materials as needed. Ensure documentation-including packing lists, shipping labels, and related forms-is complete, accurate, and processed correctly. Job Level Specifications:
Developing basic knowledge of job duties, procedures, and equipment. Performs routine tasks with minimal complexity under direct supervision. Receives clear instructions and follows established priorities. Works primarily with immediate team members; limited interaction with other departments. Decisions typically affect only the individual's assigned tasks or work area. Work Experience:
Less than one year preferred. Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Forklift certification may be required depending on the role. May need to meet visual acuity standards for final inspections. Distinguishing Characteristics:
Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to consistently and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Frequent overtime based on business needs.
Required: Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and safely.
