Assignment Details

Position: School‑Based Social Worker

Location: California

Employment Type: Full‑time

Start Date: ASAP

Age group: Elementary, Middle and High School

Total hours per week: 3540 hours

Duration of Contract: School Year

Bonuses

Monthly Bonus: $150.00 – $300.00

Christmas Bonus: $500.00

Completion Bonus: $1,000.00

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW preferred)

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in an educational or clinical setting

Strong understanding of child development, mental health, trauma‑informed care, and crisis intervention

Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, and behavior specialists

Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to equity and inclusion

Responsibilities

Provide counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges

Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs

Serve as a liaison between school families and community resources

Assist in crisis situations and facilitate referrals to outside services when needed

Collaborate with staff to support student success in both academic and personal development

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical and confidentiality standards
