RBG Wealth Advisors is a locally owned, independent, fee-only SEC-registered investment advisory firm based in Memphis. Founded by CFP® professionals and CPAs through a strategic partnership with Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC (RBG), a Memphis-based accounting firm with more than a century of experience serving clients, we provide integrated, comprehensive planning and investment management for individuals, families, and institutions.
Launched in 2022, the firm has grown quickly, creating a unique opportunity to join a small but expanding team with the resources of a larger organization. We help clients make confident, well‑informed financial decisions and build lasting legacies through thoughtful planning and objective advice.
As an Associate Wealth Advisor, you’ll work directly with senior advisors to support client relationships and develop strategies tailored to each client’s goals. The role blends financial planning, investment analysis, and client service—providing hands‑on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Client Service & Relationship Management
Act as a point of contact for clients — handling requests, coordinating paperwork, and keeping things running smoothly.
Prepare for and participate in client meetings alongside senior advisors — assembling materials, documenting discussions, and coordinating follow‑up items.
Help onboard new clients by coordinating paperwork, establishing accounts, and ensuring a smooth transition.
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date client data in financial planning and CRM systems.
Build strong relationships with clients and their professional partners, including CPAs and attorneys.
Collaborate with senior advisors to build comprehensive financial plans addressing retirement, tax, education, charitable, and estate goals.
Gather and organize financial information, using tools like eMoney to model cash flow projections, Monte Carlo simulations, and “what‑if” scenarios.
Research investments and planning strategies to support each client’s objectives.
Draft client‑ready summaries, investment proposals, and meeting reports.
Investment Management Support
Assist with portfolio monitoring, trading, and performance reporting.
Review accounts to confirm alignment with model allocations and investment policy statements.
Learn the firm’s approach to portfolio design, asset allocation, and rebalancing through hands‑on experience.
Be part of a small, collaborative team that values communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This is an in‑person role designed to promote real‑time collaboration, mentorship, and a cohesive client experience.
Participate in firm meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Contribute ideas that improve client service, efficiency, or overall client experience.
Pursue continuing education and certifications (CFP®, etc.). The firm will support your progress.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred).
2–4 years of experience in financial services (accounting, investment management, financial planning, or a related field).
Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients is preferred.
Licenses & Designations
CPA license is preferred.
CFP® designation, or active progress toward it, is preferred.
Skills & Attributes
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Redtail, Salesforce) is preferred.
Experience with portfolio and planning software (e.g., Black Diamond, Orion, Tamarac, eMoney, MoneyGuide Pro) is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and follow‑through.
Clear, confident communication skills—both written and verbal.
Professional, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a commitment to teamwork and client service.
This role is part of a defined path toward becoming a Senior Wealth Advisor, with long‑term opportunities for greater responsibility and potential firm ownership. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in planning, investments, and client relationship management while learning directly from experienced CFP® professionals and CPAs.
