About Ecology Project International
Ecology Project International (EPI) is an international non‑profit organization dedicated to addressing critical conservation issues through field‑based partnerships between local experts and high school students. We engage adolescent youth from local communities and youth and teachers from around the world in applied hands‑on science and conservation as they learn about and help protect threatened species and habitats. Through EPI’s programs in five countries throughout the U.S. and Latin America, participants are inspired and empowered to engage in conservation efforts at home and worldwide to become the next generation of conservation leaders. Job Summary EPI is seeking a highly creative and organized Digital Marketing & Design Coordinator to support and grow our online presence, brand consistency, and strategic communications. This role plays a central part in connecting audiences to our mission through high‑quality content, digital design, and data‑driven strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Content Creation & Graphic Design
Design and develop compelling digital content for multiple platforms (social media, email, web, etc.)
Create visuals that align with EPI’s brand guidelines and campaign objectives
Work with regional teams to adapt content for local audiences
Social Media Management
Plan, create, and publish engaging content across EPI’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
Work with the broader communications team to maintain a unified and strategic presence
Monitor community engagement and respond as needed
Online Advertising (Shared Responsibility)
Support the implementation of online advertising campaigns across platforms including META (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, LinkedIn, and TikTok
Assist in tracking, optimizing, and reporting on ad performance metrics
Contribute to budget allocation strategies and ad creative development
Analytics & Reporting
Generate monthly reports on digital performance: website traffic, ad metrics, social media engagement, email performance
Use tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Insights, and LinkedIn Analytics to guide decisions
Present key insights and recommend improvements to enhance reach and impact
Database Use & Support
Support the organization’s CRM (Salesforce) for audience segmentation, campaign targeting, and lead tracking
Ensure consistency, quality, and integration of marketing data across platforms
Assist with list management, syncing tools (e.g., Mailchimp and Salesforce), and automation flows
Email Marketing (Shared Responsibility)
Build and schedule email campaigns in Mailchimp for program recruitment, donor engagement, and internal communication
Collaborate on copywriting, A/B testing, and segmentation strategies
Help maintain email templates and brand alignment
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing and content design
Proven ability to manage social media and create visually engaging content
Experience with Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, and Google Analytics
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
CRM familiarity (Salesforce preferred)
Commitment to EPI’s mission and values
Desired Qualifications and Skills
Experience with nonprofit or mission‑driven organizations
Familiarity with database integration tools like Zapier
Understanding of SEO, UX, and web content best practices
Experience using Asana or similar project management tools
Strong communication and project coordination skills

Adaptability & Learning Agility
Cross‑Cultural Communication; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred or ability to collaborate in bilingual settings
Attention to Detail
Reports To External Communications & Marketing Manager
Schedule & Location
Full‑time: 40 hours/week (typical office hours 9:00 am–5:00 pm)
Must be based in La Paz, México, or Missoula, Montana
Occasional travel to field sites or conferences may be required
Hybrid work schedule is possible depending on qualifications and organizational needs
Compensation Local market‑based starting salary range according to working location and DOE: US – $42,000–42,800. If the candidate is hired in Mexico, the internal salary ranges for those countries will apply, following our “Compensation Policy”. This position also provides a generous benefits package, including 32 days of paid time off per year, health insurance, a retirement plan, and funds for professional development.
