Job Description
Schedule conferences with families to discuss final arrangements for their loved ones.
Direct and prepare funeral services as discussed with families from beginning to the end of the process.
Arrange necessary escorts, churches, officiants, flower arrangements, etc. for services.
Perform embalming or refrigeration and restorative preparations for final viewings.
Assisting Funeral Director in Charge with ordering of decedent preparation room supplies.
Responsible for after-hour calls and pickups as scheduled for newly deceased removals and beginning preparations.
Transport the deceased to and from locations: hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, mortuary, crematory and medical examiner.
Request vital information, complete and certify death certificates, etc.
Fill out and file necessary legal paperwork including life insurance benefits assignment.
Assist the Funeral Director in Charge with additional duties as assigned, the Stericycle Annual Training & Audit, cemetery & funeral audit, etc.
