We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Elkton, Maryland. This role requires someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: Process and verify invoices accurately to ensure timely payments. Manage office supply orders and maintain inventory controls. Reconcile company credit card transactions to ensure proper expense tracking. Prepare and issue manual checks and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. Utilize software for accounts payable tasks and tracking General Ledger accounts. Conduct regular check runs to maintain timely vendor payments. Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with precision. Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in financial records. Assist in tracking and reporting construction job costs, if applicable. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. Proficiency in invoice coding and processing. Familiarity with check runs and manual payment processes. Strong experience with credit card reconciliation and ACH payments. Basic knowledge of General Ledger tracking using Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
