School of Accountancy Position Highlights: The Dhaliwal-Reidy School of Accountancy at the Eller College of Management seeks organized, self-motivated applicants possessing a strong customer service orientation for the position of Student Services Administration Professional I. This dynamic role includes being a Program Coordinator for our PhD program which currently has 9 PhD students. Each year, approximately 25 students apply to the PhD program. Our graduates have earned placements at premier institutions across the country. This role is involved with these processes from application through placement. The administration portion of this role will assist with activities including processing reimbursement requests, reconciling PCard transactions, and confirming adequate documentation. The Student Services Administration Professional I will also assist with course management and academic support tasks for the School including maintaining the schedule of courses, ordering textbooks, ordering and summarizing student course surveys, and making room reservations for office hours and exams. The Student Services Administration Professional I will work with and report to the Director and Associate Director of the School and work alongside the Business Manager. Duties & Responsibilities PhD Program & Workshops (35%): Assist in promoting PhD program to increase student interest and enrollment. Answers and tracks all PhD program inquiries. Updates and maintains all PhD program applications. Registers PhD students for required coursework. Works with students to ensure their specific degree requirements and program milestones are being met. Assist with documentation on program progress to ensure compliance with grad college. Maintains PhD student files and Department files. Assists in PhD program events (orientations, etc.) including integration of incoming students into the program. Tracks academic progress of students, keeping them advised of requirements and deadlines. Coordinates data collection for all assurance of learning programs related to the PhD program. Assists with tracking of job placement for PhD graduates. Provides administrative assistance to the Director of the School for all PhD student matters. Stays abreast of policies and procedures of the Graduate College, as well as other University programs, and advises key department personnel on those policies. Generates Uaccess reports and disseminates to PhD admissions committee. As needed, collects data for faculty committees on PhD programs. Maintains department workshop schedules and coordinates travel related arrangement for workshop presenters. Administrative Activities (35%): Provides administrative assistance to the Business Manager by initiating transactions, requesting documentation, and processing reimbursement requests. Serves as the School's PCard reconciler, reviewing validity of transactions by scrutinizing the original receipt and ensuring compliance with PCard and University Policies. Course Management & Academic Support (30%): Reviews departmental course listings in the semester Schedule of Classes and revises as directed. Submits Common Final Request applications. Initiates requests in UAccess to establish new courses and process changes to existing courses per instructors’ request and department head approval. Resolves and troubleshoots issues with RCS as needed. Uses UAccess to obtain information about faculty load, student enrollment, grades, etc. on behalf of students, faculty, Associate Director, and/or Director. Initiates and requests SCS (Student Course Surveys) and pulls and summarizes results for Associate Director. Collects and submits department textbook adoptions. Collects and submits department syllabi. Collects faculty office hours and contact preferences to provide to the front desk student workers. Makes room reservations for faculty for exams, TA office hours, etc. and for department events. Schedules, administers and proctors exams given to DRC students in the department. Updates School websites when needed due to programmatic changes. As needed, pulls reports to support departmental level reporting requirements. Pulls undergraduate and graduate student lists from UAccess each semester & summer. Completes cart training and drives faculty as needed for large course exams and faculty with injury/disability. Coordinates student workers to also complete cart training and assigns them to drive faculty as needed. Maintains a list of facilitators and the classes they are interested in supporting. Coordinates the Becker CPA scholarship process each Fall. Coordinates faculty mentoring program. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required. 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
