Job Summary
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Unlimited Logistics' customer base. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and securing new shipper accounts, building lasting relationships, and delivering customized logistics solutions across multiple transportation modes. The ideal candidate is a confident, results-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing strategic partnerships that move business forward.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with high-potential shippers across various industries.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to develop long-term partnerships.
Conduct discovery calls and presentations to understand customer needs and design tailored transportation solutions.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and quoting through proposal, negotiation, and close, consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Collaborate with internal operations and account management teams to ensure smooth transitions for new business and exceptional customer service.
Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline metrics within CRM tools.
Support company growth initiatives and special projects as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
3–5 years of proven success in business development, outside sales, or account management within the freight brokerage or logistics industry.
Strong understanding of truckload, LTL, and flatbed transportation markets and pricing.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Highly motivated, organized, and goal-oriented with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
