What you will be doing:
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on forklifts, diesel engines, gas engines, and other warehouse machinery. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and determine appropriate repair methods. Conduct engine overhauls, component replacements, and system calibrations. Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards. Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs performed. Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize workload and meet operational needs. Order and maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
What you must have:
Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines, hydraulic systems, and warehouse equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving with attention to detail. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school training preferred. Valid driver's license; forklift certification a plus. Salary/Rate Range:
