Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Nuclear Medicine Technologists of the Nuclear Medicine and/or Molecular Imaging & Therapy departments are a state and nationally registered professionals who possess the required skills and judgment necessary to obtain quality nuclear medicine studies.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I will work under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor and the Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to perform routine nuclear medicine procedures.
This includes educating the patient and/or family about the procedure, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patient for accurate and clear images, and providing post-procedure instructions.
The technologist accurately documents all patient information in the appropriate systems.
All Nuclear Medicine Technologist positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital-adjacent imaging center locations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Associates Degree or higher. Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required Must have a minimum of 1 year continuous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist License Required
State of California Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine (CTNM) license
Certifications Required
AHA BLS Certification is required. Advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT-N or NMTCB-CNMT
Certifications Preferred
Advanced certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography
