About the Role We seek a mortgage loan officer to guide clients through the process of obtaining a real estate purchase and construction loans. This involves meeting with clients to understand their needs, recommending suitable mortgage products, and helping them gather the necessary financial information to complete the loan application and underwriting. Your role is to assess applicants' risk, manage the loan process, ensure all paperwork is correctly submitted, and serve as a key point of contact between the borrower, builder, and the lender.

Responsibilities

Client consultation : Interview potential and current clients to understand their needs for a mortgage, which can include purchasing a new home loan for land and/or construction; refinancing an existing loan or HELOCs depending on the clients needs.

Loan recommendation : Explain the various types of mortgage products and recommend the one that best fits the client's financial situation, budget, and needs.

Application management : Assist clients with completing loan applications and gather required documents, such as credit histories, financial statements, and personal information.

Risk assessment : Review the applicant's financial information to assess their creditworthiness and the overall risk of the loan.

Process oversight : Guide the client through the entire loan process, from initial application to closing, ensuring all requirements are met.

Lender liaison : Act as the main point of contact between the borrower and the lender, coordinating with the underwriting and closing departments.

Compliance and detail : Ensure all loan documents are accurate and complete, checking for inconsistencies and ensuring all necessary information is provided to avoid delays.

Market knowledge : Stay informed about current mortgage regulations, market trends, and local real estate conditions.

Business development : Actively work to develop and maintain a network of contacts, such as real estate agents, to generate new business.

Qualifications Active California Mortgage Loan Originators license. Active California Real Estate Salesperson or Brokers license preferred but not required.

2+ years sales experience.

Required Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to use MS office (Outlook, Word)

Familiarity with MLO LOS (Calyx Point, Floify, Encompass, etc)

Pay range and compensation package Leads Provided, Competitive Commission Structure.
