HR Site Lead - Manufacturing - Louisville, KY
Our client, a global leader in food manufacturing, is seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to lead the HR agenda at their Louisville facility. The site is approximately 200 employees and unionized. This role will partner closely with site and regional leadership, shaping the people strategy while ensuring strong operational delivery across talent, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership — Act as a key partner to plant leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business priorities.
Talent & Workforce Development — Own full-cycle talent acquisition for the facility, from workforce planning to onboarding; implement programs to strengthen employee engagement, retention, and career development; guide leaders on succession planning, coaching, and leadership development.
Employee Relations & Culture — Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace issues, grievances, and conflict resolution; foster a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and transparency; lead employee engagement initiatives and monitor site climate.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Systems — Manage compensation and benefits administration; oversee HRIS accuracy, reporting, and payroll/time-tracking processes; provide data-driven HR metrics to inform decisions at site and corporate levels.
Compliance & Labor Relations — Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations; manage union-related matters and support positive labor-management relations; handle unemployment claims, investigations, and policy enforcement.
Safety & Wellbeing — Support a safe and compliant workplace by reinforcing the safety culture; collaborate with site leadership and safety committees on training, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong track record in strategic HR partnership, workforce development, and employee relations.
Familiarity with union environments is a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
