Steel Project Manager

Miscellaneous Steel Project Manager | Memphis Tennessee Area Commercial & Industrial Projects | $90,000 to $120,000 + Bonus Join an established custom steel fabricator who needs your experience leading complex, engineered-to-order miscellaneous steel construction packages from pre-construction through final installation. This role involves coordination across design, production, and field operations, with a strong emphasis on schedule control and site execution for commercial and light industrial projects. Responsibilities: Coordinate with drafting/detailing teams and monitor drawing timelines. Communicate with designers and construction teams to gather and clarify project requirements. Conduct field measurements and align with adjacent trades. Manage schedules for fabrication, delivery, and installation. Oversee on-site activities and resolve field-level issues. Price and track change orders; negotiate with general contractors or owners. Work with internal teams on budgeting and project financials. Prepare close-out documentation and maintain professional relationships with clients and field crews. Travel to regional job sites as needed, mostly within driving distance. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience managing fabrication and field installation projects involving custom metal systems like stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, and other functional or decorative steel elements Strong communication and scheduling skills. Proven ability to navigate complex, multi-phase commercial construction jobs. Professional communication skills with experience dealing with owners and subcontractors.
