About The Job The
Logistics Coordinator I
is an entry‑level role responsible for executing day‑to‑day
Less‑Than‑Truckload (LTL)
shipments within Odyssey’s FAK division. Working under the guidance of a team lead and supervisor, you will learn core operational processes, ensure shipments are rated and routed correctly, and provide responsive communication to carriers and clients.
In This Role, You Will Shipment Execution
Execute daily LTL operations including rating, routing, booking, and tendering shipments.
Identify and resolve shipment issues, such as delays or service failures.
Manage communications on accessorials, pickup/delivery confirmations, and PODs.
Support tracking and tracing of shipments, updating status milestones in the TMS.
Client & Carrier Communication
Act as the frontline contact for operational updates and issue resolution.
Communicate proactively with carriers to confirm details and secure capacity.
Respond quickly to client inquiries, ensuring a customer‑first experience.
Support supervisors and managers in executing SOPs and SLAs.
Operational Accuracy & Compliance
Maintain accurate shipment records in the TMS.
Validate rating, contracts, and routing guides for compliance.
Escalate billing or carrier performance discrepancies to supervisors.
Process Improvement & Team Support
Identify recurring issues and share feedback for process improvement.
Participate in training assignments to build LTL expertise.
Partner with peers to balance workload and meet departmental KPIs.

Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (preferred) OR equivalent experience.
0–1 years of experience in logistics, 3PL, or LTL operations (internship acceptable).
Familiarity with LTL rating structures and carrier networks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
Experience with TMS platforms; exposure to EDI/API workflows a plus.
Strong attention to detail in a high‑volume environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize under deadlines.
