As we continue to expand our market presence and distribution network, we are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain operations team and help streamline the planning, execution, and optimization of ground shipments nationwide.
Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and optimizing less‑than‑truckload (LTL) and truckload (TL) shipments to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of finished goods from our production facilities to customers and distribution centers. This role will work closely with transportation providers, production scheduling, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and continuous improvement in logistics efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily outbound shipments (LTL/TL) from multiple manufacturing sites and 3PL warehouses.
Consolidate orders to optimize truck utilization while maintaining service level requirements.
Verify shipment details, including routing, carrier assignments, and freight classification.
Coordinate closely with Customer Service to align delivery appointments and order priorities.
Monitor shipment progress, proactively address delays, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Analyze freight spend and shipment data to identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities.
Collaborate with carriers and internal stakeholders to improve on-time performance and reduce detention/demurrage.
Assist in implementing route optimization tools and digital freight management platforms.
Maintain carrier lists and evaluate carrier performance on cost, reliability, and service metrics.
Qualifications
2+ years of logistics coordination or transportation coordination experience (ground transportation)
Strong knowledge of LTL and TL operations
Proficiency in TMS systems
Microsoft Office skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
