Sentar is seeking a Business Development/Capture Analyst Intern in N Charleston, SC!
Role Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Capture Analyst Intern to support our capture and business development efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience in market and company research, opportunity identification, and the use of key business development tools to capture and track relevant information.
A government contracting capture analyst intern assists with researching, analyzing, and preparing for government bids and proposals. This includes supporting the capture team with market research, competitive analysis, and data gathering to inform win strategies. The intern may also contribute to proposal development, content creation, and quality assurance.
As a Capture Analyst Intern you’ll embed with our Growth & Strategy team and learn the full capture lifecycle—shaping opportunities months before an RFP drops and helping craft winning proposals when it does.
This role has the potential to turn into a full time job!
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market and company research to identify potential business opportunities, including researching potential customers, competitors, and partners within the government contracting space
Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for the company
Summarize research findings to inform win themes and positioning
Assist in opportunity identification and qualification efforts
Support the evaluation of bid/no-bid decisions
Utilize tools such as MS Office Suite, GovWin, and Salesforce to capture and track data
Organize and maintain research and pipeline information to support capture activities
Collaborate with the business development team to provide timely and accurate insights
Contribute to reports and presentations summarizing research findings
Assist with the development of capture plans, including opportunity analysis, customer profiles, competitor assessments, and win strategies
Help establish capture schedules and ensure follow-up with key contacts

Qualifications Education:
Rising junior/senior, recent graduate, or graduate student in Business, Data Analytics, Political Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience:
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze information critically
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn and utilize business development tools such as GovWin and Salesforce
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with government contracting, United States Military, and the procurement process is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Curiosity and a desire to learn about the government contracting industry
Self-motivated and able to work part-time, up to 29 hours per week, onsite
U.S. citizenship and willingness to pursue a DoD security clearance
