Program Specialist

for our Residential locations - CLA division. Program Specialist responsibilities include acting as the primary advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, developing, supervising, and coordinating each Individual Support Plan (ISP), completing assessments, and ensuring state licensing requirements are met. This is a salaried, exempt position. Location : Moon Twp, PA 15108 and Pittsburgh, PA 15216 Program Specialist Responsibilities

Secures all necessary services to ensure individuals’ needs are met as specified in the ISP. Completes and ensures all necessary documentation for ISPs, Quarterly Reviews, ISP revisions, and related processes meet State licensing requirements. Supervises, monitors, evaluates and/or recommends ISP revisions; reports changes to the SC and plan team members. Ensures ISP content includes required protocols (social, emotional, environmental, restrictive procedures, etc.). Provides assessment to the SC or plan lead at least 30 days prior to ISP meetings. Reviews the ISP with the individual and coordinates services to meet State licensing requirements. Provides ISP review documentation to the SC and plan team members to meet licensing requirements; informs team of rights to decline ISP review documents when applicable. Monitors house funds and the individual’s progress monthly through documentation and observations. Coordinates training of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on health and safety needs relevant to each individual. Develops and implements provider services to meet State licensing requirements. Must be fluent on all assigned ISPs and provide ongoing training to staff on ISP processes, therapeutic needs, health and safety, medication needs, diet orders, and house needs. Maintains professionalism and builder relationships with staff and peers; schedules and attends medical appointments as needed. Maintains medication administration certification and practicum observer certification; performs MAR reviews and medication checks. Provides face-to-face ISP training to Program Coordinators and DSPs. Acts as Certified Investigator on an on-call basis when necessary. Performs other related duties upon request. Benefits

Must be on-call 24/7. Knowledge of practices and regulations pertaining to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare necessary documentation. Ability to monitor individual programming, provide hands-on implementation and staff training. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, families, and other partners. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills. Minimum Experience and Training

Program Specialist must have specialized training or one year’s experience with individuals with IDD and one of the following: Master’s Degree and one year’s experience; or Bachelor’s Degree and two years’ experience; or Associate’s Degree or 60 credit hours and four years’ experience; or Must complete all required clearances and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
