Full Time Lecturer of Management/HR 2+2 AHC
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Orfalea College of Business, Management/HR Area invites applications for a full-time lecturer in Management/HR beginning January 5, 2026. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of high-quality teaching in the following areas: management, organizational behavior, international management, human resource management, industrial relations, business strategy and policy. Assignments will be contingent upon budget and enrollments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses in Management/HR and coordinate the Cal Poly – Allan Hancock College 2+2 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management/HR program.
Courses will be taught primarily at the Allan Hancock College campus in Santa Maria and as needed at the San Luis Obispo campus.
Program coordination includes curriculum development/implementation, scheduling/enrollment management, student support/retention, and program marketing/recruitment.
Education and Salary Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. Salary ranges as of August 2025 are:
Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677
Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224
Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523
Lecturer D: $8,593 - $15,211

PhD in business with a successful teaching record.
Ability to work with a diverse population fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Relevant work experience and demonstrated professional capabilities.
