Director of Operations
to lead their manufacturing facility and develop a long-term operational strategy. This role offers the chance to shape culture, elevate performance, and deliver consistent results across all areas of plant operations. Location: Must currently reside in the Los Angeles area What You’ll Do
Provide overall leadership for plant operations, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. Oversee performance metrics in production, logistics, procurement, and workforce productivity. Create and implement strategies to drive process optimization, continuous improvement, and smart capital investments. Build and sustain a lean-driven culture, using practices like 5S+Safety, Kaizen, TPM, VSM, and standardized work. Lead and mentor diverse teams, cultivating a climate of accountability, engagement, and high performance. Manage budgets, operational P&L, and capital projects to align with the company’s growth objectives. Support the onboarding of acquired businesses while maintaining strict safety, compliance, and quality standards. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, Industrial Engineering, or related) preferred. 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with full P&L oversight. Demonstrated achievements in Lean/CI methodologies and operational excellence. Background in printing, packaging, or related manufacturing (folding cartons, labels, commercial print) strongly preferred. Strong people leader who excels at developing talent and driving organizational change. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to balance strategic vision and day-to-day execution.
