Your Responsibilities As a
Part-Time Student for the Innovation and Strategy team
within the
John Deere Enterprise Technical Information Development (ETID) located in
Waterloo, IA , you will...
Enhance team communication, streamline onboarding, and support operational excellence across our projects. You will play a key role in shaping how we work, connect, and grow together.
Lead the monthly innovation lounge meeting that fosters continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and forward-thinking growth across the organization.
Maintain and improve the onboarding process for new employees in ETID
Redefine and restructure the organization's SharePoint site for better usability
Develop the Innovation newsletter focused on project progress, upskilling, and recognition
Collaborate with stakeholders to organize the monthly Innovation sprint review meetings

What Skills You Need
Ideally pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, business (Others may apply)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to build relationships and influence without authority
Strong time management, organization, and planning skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools
Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university
Graduation date of December 2026 or later
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Available to work 16–20 hours/week during the academic year
Available to work 35–40 hours/week during the summer semester
Must be able to commute to Waterloo, IA on a regular basis

Experience in developing and executing communication plans
Demonstrated digital dexterity, with the ability to quickly adapt to and use a variety of digital tools and platforms effectively
Experience with AI tools
Skills in content creation, facilitation, or newsletter development
Familiarity with innovation or agile team environments
