Maintenance Technician 1
The Maintenance Technician 1 at MilliporeSigma will support the maintenance activities at the Sheboygan Falls site. The Maintenance Tech will repair equipment, facilities, and utility systems and assist in keeping the entire site running by completing corrective and preventive maintenance work orders. In addition, the technician will complete predictive maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability and life cycles. Daily tasks to include the following: Maintain and troubleshoot industrial controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems Operate and repair facility utilities, including boilers, chillers, and HVAC Perform instrument calibrations and predictive maintenance tasks Read and redline technical schematics and drawings Operate forklifts, manlifts, and standard shop tools Use CMMS and office software to manage and document work Analyze issues, implement solutions, and drive process improvements Direct contractors and support technicians as needed Adhere to all safety protocols (LOTO, confined space) and report hazards Participate in on-call rotations, weekend shifts, and occasional travel Shift/hours: 3rd shift - 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Sun-Thu Who you are: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1+ year of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, or other maintenance discipline Certifications in refrigerant appliance and HVAC electronic controls Understanding of materials of construction and chemical compatibility Leadership skills Good documentation practices in Computer Maintenance Management System
