Ivonescib, known as SMT112, is a novel first‑in‑class investigational bispecific antibody that blocks PD‑1 while also blocking VEGF, combining the effects of immunotherapy and anti‑angiogenesis. Summit is conducting Phase III trials of ivonescib in non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in three studies:

HARMONi

(EGFR‑mutated advanced NSCLC),

HARMONi‑3

(first‑line metastatic NSCLC), and

HARMONi‑7

(first‑line NSCLC with high PD‑L1). Ivonescib has received Fast Track designation in the U.S. and is approved in China. Overview Of Role

The Director, Portfolio Strategy & Market Research position reports to the Executive Director, Portfolio Strategy to support strategic planning activities by providing actionable recommendations based on market and competitive intelligence. Role And Responsibilities

Deliver strategic market and competitive intelligence insights, scenario planning, and impact assessment through presentations and reports to senior leadership and internal teams. Conduct in‑depth research on market participants’ products, positioning, and financial impact. Provide the competitive intelligence component of strategic planning and proactively recommend key intelligence items requiring further consideration. Partner with internal stakeholders to enhance use of strategic analysis, market insights, and competitor intelligence. Maintain knowledge of factors, data points, and inputs that drive commercial results in solid tumor oncology markets. Contribute to product revenue forecasting for early indications up to 18 months before launch. Develop and execute market research plans, including qualitative and quantitative studies, and deliver high‑quality insights to inform strategy. Communicate and align key internal stakeholders around research objectives and outputs. Determine appropriate research methodology to address business objectives. Lead research projects, including vendor selection, design, execution, interpretation, and dissemination of results. Manage vendor partnerships, negotiate costs, onboard teams, and ensure timely project execution. Support strategic planning through situation analysis, market access plans, brand plans, and market assessments. Synthesize consumer, competitor, and marketplace data into actionable items, reports, and presentations. Conduct in‑depth assessments of new indications, including market viability, competitive landscape, drivers, barriers, and financial projections. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of data sources, evaluate credibility, and leverage across the organization. Create and maintain a Knowledge Repository for internal stakeholders to access insights and data. Leverage best‑in‑class methodologies to analyze market, epidemiology, and statistical data using modern and traditional methods. Track and interpret customer trends and share implications throughout the company. Deliver analytical support to R&D, Commercial, Corporate Strategy, Regulatory, and BD teams on an ad‑hoc basis. Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to proactively identify emerging needs and challenges. Partner with Commercial, Operations, Regulatory, Biostatistics, Corporate Strategy, IT, and Legal to ensure business needs are addressed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in biotech or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 12+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with qualitative and quantitative market research experience in oncology, especially NSCLC and other solid tumors. Strong knowledge of solid tumor oncology, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and lung cancer market dynamics. Experience developing and executing primary and secondary market research; experience with global market research is preferred. Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end research projects, synthesize findings and present insights. Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient‑based forecast modeling, and dynamic patient models. Experience facilitating competitive workshops and contributing to program and study teams. Proficient in online market research tools, databases, and data cataloging. Excellent communication and presentation skills; proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and related data tools. Can travel up to 25% of the time as needed. Compensation

The pay range for this role is $198,000–$230,000 annually. Compensation may also include bonus, stock, benefits, and other variable incentives. Employment Type
