HR Business Partner, R&D (Senior Manager/Associate Director) Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Director, HRBP, the HR Business Partner in R&D serves as a strategic and operational partner supporting the Oncology Global R&D business. The role leverages 8+ years of HRBP and HR Operations experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry to deliver solutions in talent management, employee engagement and relations, compensation, and organizational development.

Candidates

should be within commuting distance to Menarini Stemline's NYC offices. Expected business travel/onsite in NYC 25%.

Responsibilities

Serve as trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic HR guidance and operational support aligned with business goals.

Proactively identify and address HR challenges and opportunities within assigned units.

Coach leaders and support effective feedback and performance development.

Identify capabilities, lead initiatives to build future‑ready workforce, including integrating AI into key business processes.

Collaborate with HR Operations to deliver integrated HR solutions.

Manage talent development, succession planning, retention strategies, performance management, and development planning.

Build and maintain relationships; communicate HR initiatives; collaborate cross‑functionally; influence stakeholders.

Support managers in engagement, perform employee relations guidance, conduct investigations, ensure compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Proven HRBP experience with Pharmaceutical/Biotech R&D.

Minimum 8+ years of progressive HR experience (HRBP & HR Operations).

Experience in fast‑paced, lean environment.

Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws.

Demonstrated knowledge in talent management, employee relations, compensation, and organizational development.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, influencing and communication skills.

Proficiency in HRIS systems – Workday; knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Workday implementation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong ethical standards and confidentiality commitment.

Preferred Qualifications

SHRM‑CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.

Compensation Senior Manager: $118,000 – $153,000 per year. Associate Director: $150,000 – $190,000 per year.
