The Opportunity Based in El Segundo, CA, you will oversee Mattel’s global travel program across NAD, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions. This role ensures an efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant corporate travel operation while maintaining high standards of traveler safety and experience.
Manage a cohesive global travel policy aligned with corporate objectives.
Oversee global travel operations, including air, hotel, ground transportation, and meeting/event travel.
Manage Mattel’s Travel Management Company (TMC), ensuring alignment in service delivery, technology integration, and performance metrics.
Monitor travel spend, performance metrics, and compliance across all business units and geographies.
Partner with Indirect Procurement to drive cost optimization through vendor negotiations, fare/rate benchmarking, and strategic sourcing of travel‑related services.
Lead quarterly business reviews with the TMC and other key suppliers to assess performance, cost savings, traveler satisfaction, and compliance.
Utilize travel data analytics to identify trends, savings opportunities, and traveler behavior insights.
Produce and present regular global travel dashboards and KPI reports.
Maintain a strong duty‑of‑care framework, working with People & Culture and Security to ensure traveler safety and risk management.
Manage exception processes, travelers’ feedback, and issue resolution in coordination with regional stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
5–8+ years of experience managing corporate travel programs in a multinational environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience managing a global travel management company (TMC).
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse regions.
Deep knowledge of the global travel industry, systems (e.g., Concur, SAP, Cytric, Amadeus), and compliance standards.
Organized, self‑motivated, collaborative, resilient, customer‑focused, and trusted for integrity and influence.
