St. Ann Catholic School, Cadillac, MI (www.stanncadillac.org), a leader in Catholic education, is seeking a full-time preschool teacher/director. The candidate will work in the preschool program, oversee classroom paraprofessionals, and be the director for preschool and the After School Care Program.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood education or childhood development or in the process of pursuing. • Meet all requirements through the State of Michigan for preschool. • Have a passion for and understanding of early childhood development as well as developmentally appropriate practices. Support children in their social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative growth. • Ability to assist children as they discover literacy and math skills and encourage learning to help them feel successful in their school experience. • Effective communication skills. • Ability to design and execute daily organized lesson plans and preschool curriculum. • Willing to create an inspiring classroom environment that is faith-filled, as well as committed to helping students grow spiritually and creatively. • Ability to model, teach, and incorporate Catholic values and morals. • Supervise and schedule staff for preschool and Afterschool Care. • Able to assess children's growth and development. • Facilitate developmentally appropriate play and educational activities.
