The Production Trainer will design and deliver hands‑on training, provide personal instruction, conduct testing, and evaluate the effectiveness of training through audits and performance feedback.

What You'll Do As a Production Trainer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our employees are trained to the highest standards in safety, quality, and efficiency. Under the direction of the Training & Development Coordinator you'll work closely with department supervisors, as well as safety and engineering to maintain consistency, compliance, and excellence across all areas of production.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading by example and promoting a culture of safety by following all plant safety protocols and ensuring the use of PPE.
Modeling professionalism, confidentiality, and alignment with Glastender's core values.
Delivering hands‑on and classroom‑based training in production processes, tools, and machinery for certain positions.
Maintaining training materials and updating manuals to reflect current procedures and standards.
Monitoring employee progress through routine audits and interviews, and providing clear, constructive feedback.
Tracking training compliance and producing monthly non‑conformance reports for management.
Supporting new employee on‑boarding, cross‑training initiatives, and skill development across departments. This includes hands‑on demonstrations, practical instruction, and occasionally presenting to groups of employees during on‑boarding, cross‑training, or safety refreshers.
Participating in internal audits, quality meetings, and business‑focused teams to drive continuous improvement.
Contributing to hiring evaluations through applicant skills testing.
What We're Looking For
High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of five years of progressive manufacturing experience with strong knowledge of workflow procedures required.
Familiarity with production equipment, tools, and machinery.
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and evaluate others effectively.
Strong understanding of safety standards and the ability to enforce them.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Prior experience in quality assurance, internal audits, sheet metal fabrication, industrial assembly or process improvement is a plus.
