Trade Compliance Sr. Specialist – Licensing Job Code: 29727 Location: Londonderry, NH Schedule: 9/80 – 80 hours per schedule, every other Friday off

A Sr. Specialist is responsible for assisting the Empowered Official (EO) to develop, implement, and manage export/import compliance and controls, including but not limited to responsibilities defined in Corporate Policy. The specialist works effectively with cross‑functional teams to keep L3Harris in compliance with U.S. trade regulations while fostering international growth.

Essential Functions

Determine U.S. Government requirements for daily export/import activities.

Process shipment paperwork using EASE for all exports of hardware.

Submit initial drafts and final license, agreement, and general correspondence to GTG, allowing adequate time for corporate and government review.

Ensure compliance with approved license applications, agreements, general correspondence, and permits/licenses with limitations, provisos, and requirements.

Notify division/subsidiary legal counsel and Segment Trade Director of potential violations, providing assistance for investigation and disclosure.

Support investigation and provide assistance for potential or actual violations.

Develop and conduct export/import and ITAR training consistent with corporate guidance.

Review export/import activities to determine if action is needed with specific departments, and conduct self‑audits as required.

Work directly with shipping carriers and brokers to provide export/import clearance direction.

Ensure controlled technical data export via electronic means is approved under U.S. laws.

Ensure all commercial exports of hardware, software, and technical data have an official Jurisdiction Classification (JC) completed via segment Technical Specialist.

Review visitor requests for foreign nationals and other U.S. persons.

Review all employee foreign travel, business, or personal related to trade compliance.

Attend at least one internal and one external Export/Import & Compliance Training Seminar as required.

Attend the Annual International Licensing Conference to remain current with L3Harris Policies and U.S. Export/Import laws.

Complete GTG Practitioner training suite within six months of employment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and 4 years of prior related experience.

Minimum one year of experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR, EAR) in a professional role.

Preferred Additional Skills

Prior Empowered Official (EO) experience.

Ability to learn different product groups and capabilities for the specific location.

Effective coordination and prioritization of multiple simultaneous activities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

High integrity and discretion.

Proficiency with computer software including Adobe, web‑based applications, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Experience with TeamCenter, EASE or ability to learn systems quickly.
