Water Resources Project Manager (Eng IV) – Oklahoma City, OK. Full-time opportunity with Huitt-Zollars, Inc. Preference is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma. Experience in the Oklahoma City area is desired. The role includes oversight of a diverse range of stormwater projects, managing project budgets, business development, and mentoring staff. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (BSCE) Duties
Lead staff in the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater management, floodplain mapping, and drainage analysis and design. Lead staff in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for water resource related construction documents. Utilize software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Infoworks ICM, XPSWMM, MicroStation ORD-DU, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS for design and analysis. Conduct quality reviews on H&H work to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Interface daily with clients, develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, ensure timely billing and collections and prepare change orders. Support client engagement, permitting, and regulatory compliance with local agencies, ODOT, and FEMA. Train and mentor staff for technical, managerial, and professional growth. Identify contacts/clients/opportunities for new work. Provide leadership to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategic plans to achieve discipline-specific and company growth. Prepare and follow comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Ensure proper staff is assigned and utilized on projects. Review project reports and performance metrics to track progress and budget. Lead successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client). Contribute to successful delivery and performance of projects. Cultivate relationships with clients and maintain strong client relations. Understand, follow, and enforce Huitt-Zollars' business processes including weekly rhythm. Take active steps in pursuing new business or opportunities with existing clients; may be responsible for a portion of the office sales goal. Lead/assist in pursuit of new work (repeat work, SOQ and Proposals). Develop and/or execute project Win strategy. Follow HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensure quality control measures are adhered to on projects and daily operations. Engage in training, coaching, and mentoring of junior staff. Maintain necessary job knowledge and technical skills; keep knowledge current. Role Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE). Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma or ability to attain. More than 10 years of civil engineering design experience. Strong technical skills in hydrologic & hydraulic analyses. Ability to mentor staff in the preparation of civil engineering documents and specifications. Ability to work in a team environment.
