PROJECT MANAGER (Airport) – Phoenix, AZ About Dibble: Founded in 1962, we provide a full range of civil engineering services to public and private sector clients across Arizona, Colorado, and the Southwestern United States. This role is part of our Airport Development Team in Phoenix, responsible for engineering and leading design efforts for airside and landside airport infrastructure and development projects.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all project participants, including clients, owners, design teams, internal staff, and other resources Actively pursue marketing and business development opportunities and maintain client relationships Prepare and participate in project interviews Assemble project teams (subconsultants, internal staff) for pursuits Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposals Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projects Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets Prepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment Perform quality assurance and quality control for project deliverables Represent the Company at industry events and conferences Participate in the execution of Company strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Knowledge and application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction (runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, pavement markings) Strong technical knowledge of civil and/or airport/aviation engineering principles Ability to manage complex, high-value projects Provide leadership for other project managers and Airport Development staff Understanding of resources and how to efficiently manage them Understanding of project budgeting and ability to meet company performance goals Effective communication with all levels of the project team and clients Ability to communicate project and billing status and needs with the client Proven negotiating skills for acceptable contracts
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment Minimum 10–15 years of engineering and project management experience Minimum 3 years of Civil / Aviation Engineering experience Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience Established client relationships within the state of Arizona
Location: Phoenix office Compensation: Salary depends on level of skills and experience
