smartdept. inc. is seeking a fast, detail-oriented Graphic Designer for a remote freelance contract supporting our client’s marketing and communications teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on multi-page document work, is an expert in InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite, and enjoys collaborating across departments to bring creative projects to life.
What You’ll Do:
Design and produce multi-page documents, including brochures, reports, collateral, and presentations, ensuring brand consistency throughout
Execute a variety of marketing materials—digital and print—from concept through completion
Work closely with Marcom and marketing managers to implement design solutions that are on-brand and meet business goals
Collaborate with copywriters, researchers, and other creatives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Update and align existing materials to new brand guidelines
Support campaigns, social media, and event materials as needed
Juggle multiple assignments, prioritize deadlines, and maintain high quality standards
What You’ll Need:
3+ years of professional graphic design experience (marketing/agency experience preferred)
Strong portfolio showcasing multi-page documents and advanced typography skills
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign; advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and the rest of the Creative Suite
Experience designing for both print and digital (web, email, social assets)
Fast, efficient work style and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience preferred
Bonus: Experience in healthcare, science, or medical industries; motion graphics, interactive design, or photography skills
