Mid-Level Electronics Technician Charleston, SC (Secret Clearance Required)
ActioNet is seeking a Mid-Level Electronics Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of defense electronics systems, including C4ISR components. The technician will perform testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure system readiness and reliability. Responsibilities/Duties: Install, align, calibrate, and test electronic systems and subsystems in accordance with technical manuals and DoD standards. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on C4ISR and other mission-critical electronic equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system faults using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. Maintain accurate calibration, repair, and maintenance records to support system readiness and compliance. Assist in system upgrades, field installations, and integration of new components or subsystems. Conduct functional and performance testing of systems before deployment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures during maintenance, testing, and system operation. Support equipment inventory, including ordering replacement parts and tracking component lifecycle. Participate in technical design and installation reviews, providing feedback on system performance and maintenance requirements. Collaborate with engineers and project leads to provide input on system improvements and troubleshooting procedures. Mentor junior technicians on system maintenance, test procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment. Support rapid-response troubleshooting during field operations and assist in emergency repairs as needed. Education & Experience Requirements: Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 35 years of hands-on electronics experience, preferably in a DoD or government contracting environment. Proficiency with C4ISR systems, electronic test equipment, and calibration procedures. Active Secret Clearance required. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of RF systems, signal processing, and communication electronics. Experience with schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and lab environments.
