About Flow

Flow is massively accelerating the development of next-generation hardware systems. We're on a mission to reinvent the way humanity develops its most important machines.

We're backed by Sequoia Capital with angel investors including Patrick & John Collison (Stripe), David Helgason (Unity) and Kyle Parrish (Figma).

Flow is the default requirements tool for complex systems engineering used by next gen space, defense, automotive and robotics companies. When humanity returns to the Moon, builds fusion power, or lands the first interplanetary colony - Flow will have played a vital role.

About the Role

You'll embed with the world's most ambitious hardware teams to get Flow working in their environments. These companies are racing to solve humanity's biggest challenges - from getting to Mars to building autonomous vehicles to defending democracy. They need Flow to move faster, and you'll make that happen.

You're a hands-on builder who ships (code, videos, presentations, etc.), but you also understand people and their problems. You'll spend most of your time in our SF office and roughly one week per month traveling to make sure Flow works flawlessly in the most demanding engineering environments on Earth.

This isn't just customer success - you're literally accelerating the development of rockets, clean energy systems, and advanced manufacturing. Your work directly impact how fast we can get to a better future.

What You'll Do Own customer growth and adoption:

implement technical solutions that overcome the blockers to customer adoption and growth. Define and solve problems quickly:

build high value docs, videos, scripts, API integrations, etc. Be in the room:

travel to customer sites to support, advise and learn about how our customers do engineering Develop deep relationships:

understand customer incentives, processes and challenges. Run tailored demos:

Translate complex engineering workflows into clear, compelling Flow use cases and prove that they solve customer's problems. Shape our roadmap:

Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmap and engineering priorities. Be a technical expert:

provide hands-on technical support for our customers Build the FDE foundation:

Help design our FDE playbook and onboarding materials for future hires. About You

Software developer at heart:

2+ years experience in software development with focus on customer-facing implementations High EQ and exceptional communication skills: effective at presenting to Chief Engineers, helping Mechanical Engineers and riffing with our Product Engineers. Customer-obsessed:

proven track record of solving user problems An eye for the critical path:

you know what the highest-impact thing you can do is and you can find fast ways of getting it done. Systems thinking:

you can see the bigger picture, and optimise for solving underlying problems. Fast:

you can learn, adapt and execute quickly (even at the expense of perfection) Nice to have: Understanding of hardware development workflows: design reviews, testing protocols, compliance requirements Previous experience working with modern hardware companies like SpaceX, Anduril, Tesla and their fast-moving engineering cultures Experience with CAD tools, simulation software or hardware testing frameworks

♥ What We Value Speed over everything.

If you go over a pothole at 20 mph, you really feel it. If you go over at 200 mph, you barely feel it. Everything we do, we need to do with urgency. This is our superpower and why we win. This is a discipline that requires effort and focus every day. Own, Downscope, ship, iterate:

We work in small, fast cycles. Our philosophy is to downscope and ship. The goal is to get a v1 out today and learn from seeing it used. We work with users not at them. Execution is the sole currency by which our customers value us. This does not always mean success at the first iteration, but we must be fully committed to delivering. Fundamentals done well:

Most success comes from mastering the basics. The trade off is always scope, never quality. This is why we prioritize simplicity. Doing so requires extreme clarity of thought: a talent for cutting to the essence of a problem, communicating it well and then solving it. Disagree and Commit:

To move fast, we have to decide fast. That means debating ideas hard, then committing fully once a decision is made. Enjoy the climb:

Climbing Everest is hard. The air thins, your body falters, and you pass those who didn't make it. But we're here to keep climbing. This is the work that will define us. Enjoy the climb. The view at the top only means something if you loved the journey getting there.
