Key Responsibilities
Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing team of Business Development Managers focused on expanding Carta’s presence within private equity and private credit.
Define and operationalize partner motions (Influencer, Referral, Co‑sell, and Resell) with clear entry criteria, ROE, and success metrics.
Drive growth through the selling partner ecosystem by identifying, recruiting, and enabling new and existing partners—including resellers, distributors, and channel partners—to expand market reach and accelerate sales.
Own the partner business plan by segment (PE, fund admins, law/audit/tax, tech alliances) with OKRs and growth targets.
Integrate partner performance into sales territory and account plans. Hit quarterly goals for sourced + influenced pipeline/ARR and enforce deal regulations and attach discipline.
Run partner pipeline inspection and forecast reviews with RevOps; report win‑rate and cycle‑time deltas for partner‑attached deals.
Design and implement team strategies to deepen existing selling and channel partner relationships and forge new ones across the investment management ecosystem, positioning Carta as the go‑to platform for fund administration products.
Represent Carta as a thought leader in the private funds ecosystem at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings (up to 25% travel).
Guide cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Delivery, Engineering, Implementations, Support, Sales, and Marketing; serve as the executive liaison to senior internal stakeholders.
About You
10+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise business development, channel/alliances, or go‑to‑market roles, ideally in private equity, venture capital, fund administration, fintech, or financial services.
Deep knowledge of private funds operations, partner ecosystems, fund formation, regulatory frameworks, fundraising, and/or valuation services.
Strategic, hands‑on leader with a proven record of building and scaling high‑performing business development teams within the private funds, fintech, or investment management ecosystems.
Experience launching tiered programs and PRM/CRM workflows (deal registration, attribution, account mapping).
Expertise in developing market strategies, forging senior partner relationships, and influencing at the executive level.
Strong cross‑functional leadership with Sales, PMM/Marketing, GTM Ops, Legal/InfoSec, Strategic Finance.
Excellent management, networking, negotiation, and communication skills; comfortable engaging C‑level leaders internally and externally in complex, matrixed environments.
Track record of attending and speaking at industry events with an established network within private equity, private credit, or related partner ecosystems.
Salary Carta offers a market‑competitive salary, equity for all full‑time roles, exceptional benefits, and commissions where applicable. The expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role starts at:
$223,500 – $340,000 OTE in New York
