Maintenance Millwright
Georgia-Pacific’s Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Hosford, Florida offers an hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Following training and onboarding, the role may transition to a 12‑hour rotating shift. Commitment to nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed is required.
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Actively participate in safety programs.
Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.
Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime.
Perform periodic maintenance to identify and correct mechanical defects before they lead to equipment failure and downtime.
Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a loud/noisy, industrial high‑volume environment.
Communicate with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
Basic Qualifications
One or more years’ experience in a maintenance position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience troubleshooting conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulic systems, and pumps.
Completion of an approved apprentice program, associate degree or trade‑school certification in the mechanical field.
Two or more years’ experience repairing industrial machinery in a technical mechanical maintenance role.
Experience with welding and fabrication.
