System Administrator Location: Aurora, CO. Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and proactive System Administrator to join our team. This role involves managing and supporting critical internal Windows-based systems, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Job Responsibilities:

Proactively monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning. Perform fault finding using search techniques and analyze log data to detect performance issues. Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and fixes on Windows servers, workstations, and virtual machine hypervisors. Create and modify scripts (PowerShell or other languages) to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency. Collaborate with teams to enhance environmental stability, security, efficiency, and scalability. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps based on notes and instructions. Conduct on-the-job training and informal sessions on system design, data flow, and operational procedures. Maintain systems within a customer-owned facility, adhering to security and operational standards. Support 24/7 operational needs, including occasional after-hours duties, under the guidance of the SA Team Lead. Ensure compliance with security standards, including DISA STIGs. Required Skills:

Security+ certification (must be obtained within 90 days of assignment). Experience with Windows system administration. PowerShell or other scripting/programming language knowledge. Experience with authentication systems such as Active Directory. VMware administration experience. Active DOD Top Secret Clearance (investigation within the last 6 years). Desired Skills:

Windows Active Directory administration. Experience installing, administering, and maintaining Windows servers and desktops. VMware virtualization experience (vCenter, vSphere, vSAN). Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint. Strong personal interaction and communication skills. Cybersecurity operator experience. LogRhythm application administration skills. Network administration skills. Knowledge of DISA STIG security hardening guidelines. Experience with virtualized systems, specifically Dell/VMware (vCenter, vSphere, VSAN). Satellite Ground Systems operations experience. Experience with SBIRS system architecture. Optional: UNIX/Linux system administration experience or Red Hat Linux/AIX knowledge may be beneficial but not required. Note: While familiarity with Unix/Linux systems is acceptable as a secondary skill set, the primary focus of this position is on Windows system administration within a secure DoD environment.
