Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of the Citizenship education program—a program designed to help participants succeed in the US naturalization exam. Duties include recruitment, enrollment, new student placement, teacher assignment, class scheduling, online and in-person class logistics, teachers’ meetings, teacher supervision and curriculum implementation. Monitor class and student progress, enrollment, retention, outcomes and expenditure. Serve as liaison between the education program and citizenship legal team to provide comprehensive services to participants. Trouble-shoot problems with attendance, remote access/computer issues, teacher absences. Serve as information center for basic program policies and procedures. Assist in generating reports for TEF leadership and other stakeholders as needed; ensure adherence to eligibility standards. Manage data collection, entering and updating student data records and logs into internal systems. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, training, or equivalent years of work experience required. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in adult education, healthcare, training or workforce development required. Spanish bilingual required. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. Knowledge of healthcare education programs, adult education, and/or labor management operations. Collaborative problem solver; high level of emotional intelligence. Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills. Knowledge of career and educational pathways and degree programs in the health care field. Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends required. Oversee advising members seeking occupational certificates on Fund benefits and programs.
