We are seeking an experienced Locums OB Hospitalist to join a collaborative and supportive obstetrics team in Athens, Ohio. This role offers 24-hour shifts with flexible scheduling designed to promote work-life balance. The OB Hospitalist will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including management of inpatient, emergency, and triage patients, ensuring continuity, quality, and safety across all aspects of care.

Schedule:

Coverage:
24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
Setting:
Inpatient and Emergency Department
Team Structure:
Collaborate with community OBs in a cohesive, multidisciplinary environment
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-house coverage for labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and gynecologic emergencies
Manage OB/GYN patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Collaborate with community obstetricians to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
Communicate in real time with office physicians regarding triage visits, new issues, and deliveries
Participate in multidisciplinary OB critical care efforts to optimize outcomes
Utilize best practices to enhance patient safety, improve outcomes, and reduce costs
Ensure accurate documentation and continuity of care across the patient’s treatment journey
Requirements
Board Certified in OB/GYN (BoardEligible not accepted)
Active Ohio medical license, eligibility through the IMLC compact
Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical OB/GYN experience
