Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours M-F, flexible times as long as consistent and communicated Experience: 1 year of PT experience, LTC or Rehab experience required License: Missouri State License required Certifications: Must have APTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants who are looking for more than 7 days off, who are seeking more than 50% of holidays off, and/or have negative background or employment history are not eligible for the same processing timeline. New graduates will be presented to the facility for review. Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care. Develops an appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including but not limited to manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices. Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Modifications to services are made in relation to patient evaluations, and referrals are made based on outcomes. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings, including but not limited to patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings. Engages in facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences. Able to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
