JumpStar Logistics a premier local trucking company is currently sourcing for full time Fleet Mechanic and Maintenance Mechanic. We are a small fleet with local owners who care about drivers and support staff like mechanics. We understand mechanics are the link to the continued movement of our business. If you are not a clock watcher and love working on diesel trucks then you should be calling us now. We have a limited number of openings so contact us today. Please meet the below requirements
Diesel Mechanic that can diagnose, rebuild and repair heavy equipment including Cummins ISX engines, Maxforce, Detroit, Isuzu and other diesel powered equipment. Knowledge of Manitou and welding skills a plus. FT bonus and extra pay for nights etc . Must have valid driver's license and mechanic tools.
Job Summary: Under limited supervision performs work in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Performs related work as assigned.
1. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. 2. Operates vehicles and equipment as necessary for diagnostic purposes. 3. Diagnose, rebuild and repair equipment. Must be comfortable using the latest computer and software tools available to assist and properly diagnose issues with equipment. 4. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers' service specifications. 5. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during normal hours, on weekdays, evenings and weekends as needed. 6. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and equipment. 7. Must be a team player 8. Must maintain proper levels of supplies and responsible for inventory 9. Must work according to demands of fleet so nights, days and weekends as needed or determined by mgr 10. Required diesel certifications 11. Fast pace work environment must be able to multi task on various repairs
Education/Experience/Special Skills: Diesel Repair Certification, High school diploma or GED minimum. Must have valid driver's license and mechanic tools. Formal technical training in mechanics, equipment repair, hydraulics and related field; Prior experience repairing and maintaining Cummins ISX engines, Maxforce, Detroit, Isuzu and other diesel powered equipment.
