Program Coordinator Opportunity At Harborview Medical Center
Harborview Medical Center's Outpatient Behavioral Health Program has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator. Work schedule: 40 hours per week, day shift. Primary job responsibilities include managing and monitoring internal/external referrals, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation; verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, and communicating plan details to patients; building and maintaining provider schedules in EPIC; prioritizing complex patient scheduling needs; providing professional, welcoming front desk support; managing patient flow and wait times; checking patients using EEV standards; resolving encounter discrepancies and completing end-of-day wrap-up; scheduling/cancelling interpreter services and communicating clinic logistics to patients; maintaining and updating patient waitlists, triaging and routing incoming calls appropriately; supporting clinic operations through proactive task management, collaboration, and problem-solving; participating in provider orientation and clinic manager meetings; communicating effectively during hand-offs; identifying and suggesting workflow improvements; utilizing Microsoft Office and internal systems. Minimum qualifications: high school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements.
