Job Description - Pharmacy Store Coordinator (25000AT3)
A Brief Overview This position is responsible for planning, monitoring, and directly coordinating pharmacy storeroom staff in the safe, effective, and cost-effective acquisition of drugs within University Hospitals.
What You Will Do
Procurement and restocking of drug products within the hospital and individual pharmacies
Processing of all associated invoices and credits.
Maintain orderliness of pharmacy storeroom area.
Utilization of electronic systems for ordering and receiving.
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education
High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience
5+ years hospital pharmacy experience with emphasis on computerized pharmacy systems, such as Omnicell Cabinets and Carousel, Pharmacy Procurement and invoicing systems. (Required) and
Inventory / storeroom management experience (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Good communication skills essential. (Required proficiency)
Knowledge of computerized pharmacy ordering and distribution systems. (Required proficiency)
Strong record keeping abilities. (Required proficiency)
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access experience (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Ohio Board of Pharmacy Registered (Required)
