About the Role The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Multifamily Asset Management to lead the strategic, operational, and acquisition activities of a diverse portfolio of apartment communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of asset managers, formulating and executing short and long-term asset management strategies, and working closely with the investment team to support the growth of the portfolio. This role requires a dynamic professional with a proven track record in institutional real estate, particularly in market-rate multifamily operations. The Senior Vice President will be expected to provide strategic direction, identify revenue-enhancing initiatives, and ensure the execution of comprehensive business plans for each asset.
Key responsibilities include mentoring and developing the East Coast team, acting as a market expert, and coordinating with various departments to ensure the clear communication of asset strategies. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, possess strong leadership and management skills, and have a deep understanding of financial, analytical, and strategic aspects of real estate. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in market-rate, multi-family real estate. The role demands an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, executive presence, and a reputation for integrity within the industry. Experience in property valuation, financial reporting, and a solid understanding of the due diligence process for new investment opportunities are also essential.
