A leading professional services organization is expanding its newly formed AI Group and seeking a
hands?on AI Engineer
to work under the
Principal AI/ML Engineer
in building and deploying production?grade generative AI solutions that enhance productivity, decision?making, and compliance across business and operational teams. This role focuses on
applied AI engineering
developing data pipelines, fine?tuning and integrating large language models, and creating intelligent systems that improve efficiency, insight, and client service. The ideal candidate is a practical builder who thrives on translating complex professional workflows into robust, ethical, and secure AI applications. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the
Principal AI/ML Engineer
and
Director of AI
to implement, optimize, and deploy AI solutions aligned with organizational and departmental needs. Develop and maintain
retrieval?augmented generation (RAG) pipelines ,
LLM integrations , and
agentic workflows
that automate professional and operational processes. Support
model training and fine?tuning , evaluate open?source and commercial models, and integrate them into production systems. Assist in
data engineering tasks , including ingestion, preprocessing, and securing of structured/unstructured datasets with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality requirements. Contribute to
MLOps workflows
model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD automation. Build scripts, APIs, and connectors to integrate AI capabilities with internal platforms (e.g., document management, CRM, or knowledge systems). Collaborate with domain experts and business stakeholders to prototype, test, and validate AI?driven solutions. Participate in
code reviews , documentation, and the establishment of engineering best practices for scalable and maintainable systems. Support pilots and early AI adoption efforts by troubleshooting integrations and optimizing model performance. Stay current with advancements in
generative AI ,
retrieval systems , and
multimodal models , evaluating their potential within professional services contexts. Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in
Computer Science ,
Engineering , or a related field or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years
of software engineering experience, including
2+ years
developing or integrating ML/AI systems. Strong
Python (3.10+)
programming skills and experience with at least one major deep learning framework ( PyTorch ,
TensorFlow/Keras ). Hands?on experience with
LangChain ,
LlamaIndex ,
Hugging Face Transformers , or other modern GenAI frameworks. Familiarity with
vector databases
(e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and
RAG architectures . Experience developing and consuming
RESTful APIs
and integrating with third?party SDKs. Proficiency with cloud environments such as
AWS
or
GCP , including containerized deployments ( Docker ,
ECS/EKS ,
GKE ). Knowledge of
MLOps practices
version control, CI/CD, model observability, and evaluation. Strong analytical and problem?solving skills with the ability to independently research, prototype, and implement new AI tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging both technical and non?technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling
regulated or privileged datasets
(e.g., legal, healthcare, financial). Knowledge of
data privacy ,
security , and
access control
in AI system design. Familiarity with
semantic search ,
document retrieval , and
embedding?based indexing . Exposure to
prompt engineering ,

model evaluation frameworks . Experience with
