Calibration Technician III HPLC

Job Description
The FSE III/IV performs Calibrations/Qualifications, Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on small laboratory instrumentation, including balances and pH meters, and chromatography systems, including HPLC’s, GC’s and UPLC’s.
Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair both in the field and in the lab of various types of laboratory equipment including balances, pH meters, environmental monitoring equipment, plate readers, GC’s, HPLC’s and UPLC’s.
Travel to customer sites to perform pipette calibrations and PM’s as necessary.
Manage personal parts inventory effectively.
Provide feedback to Manager regarding any issue impacting service delivery, particularly issues impacting turnaround times.
Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.
Follow good documentation practices (GDP) as applicable to daily activities.
Contact customers on time and schedule service efficiently.
Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.
Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.
Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.
Maintain client confidentiality, specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant, assessors).
Act impartially within the management system.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications: Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Two- or four-year degree in a related science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronic engineering, biotechnology, or similar) plus 3-5 years (FSE III) or 5-7 years (FSE IV) experience in a related field, preferably as a Field Service Technician
Experience in providing field service support on GC’s, HPLC’s and/or UPLC’s.
Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environments
Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication
Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem solving
Must be self-motivated and proactive
Valid drivers license
Clean driving record
Ability to travel within customer territory up to 5 days per week Monday-Friday. Overnight travel as needed.
Additional Information
Working schedule will be
Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-4pm.
