Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine (J&JIM), a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Packaging Engineering Co-op to be located in Titusville, NJ. This Manufacturing and Technical Operations group is involved in managing packaging projects and supporting global packaging sites as well as performing a Packaging Center of Excellence (CoE) role for Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain. The Packaging Engineer Co-op will join and assist the Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) Packaging Center of Excellence (CoE) department by supporting Advanced Therapies commercial products and strategic initiatives described below: Authoring/reviewing secondary packaging material specifications, packaging drawings, & packaging BOMs. Reviewing labeling and artwork to ensure they meet technical specifications. Performing package evaluation and distribution testing. Writing/reviewing/executing technical protocols and reports. Areas of discipline involve: Packaging Engineering Technical Operations environment in highly regulated industry Working closely with Internal Manufacturing, Quality, Graphics, external suppliers, and Distribution Centers A qualified applicant will meet the following criteria: Enrollment at an accredited college/university and pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering or other related Engineering/Science academic major. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Co-op period is required (4 to 6 months duration). It is required to be on-site (either Raritan, NJ or Titusville, NJ) at least 3 days per week. Completion of at least second of four years of undergraduate program is preferred. A minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities are desired. Previous experience in a Packaging Engineering environment is preferred. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future. Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
